Voluntary: I respect the personhood of children. Creating an environment that a child enjoys and wants to be in is better for learning than an environment they feel compelled to be in. 

Parent-friendly: I believe that parents are both the most qualified and the most responsible for ensuring their children receive a quality education. As a tutor, my goal is to serve parents, rather than replacing them. 

Compassionate: The education and the emotional well-being of children are often connected. A good tutor needs to approach the struggles of a child with compassion and understanding.  

Empowering: As a tutor, my goal is to give my students the tools to help them teach themselves. Tutoring is about learning alongside the student, rather than lecturing or doing their work for them.
